Slothfurnace's Darth Nul SWTOR Lightsaber Game Model Print & Paint
Page 1

Another in-game SWTOR model I wanted to put through my new Bambu Carbon X1 printer, is this Darth Nul lightsaber I did for the game.

Since I wanted a physical model of this, and it was too hard to hand machine in the garage, I thought it'd be a good candidate for a 3D print. This one took quite a few iterations to get ready to assemble, and at first I didn't think I could model the interior so it would accept electronics, but I kept at it...

A quick paintjob test and I was pretty happy with the results. I mixed some copper and hand painted the emitter and crystal chamber, and mostly spray painted the grip, then went over it with weathering and grime passes. This one shows the translucent filament crystal I printed, using the same in-game model for the exterior of the crystals, but modified internally to fit the physical model.

The painted one next to the electronics installed one, I plan to print a third one and install it and paint it for a complete version.

I really love taking my in-game production models for SWTOR and transferring them to a 3D printable state.

I may offer this as a kit on the store if there is interest.
